Features of the District

Location:Bass District is a rural electorate located south-east of Melbourne.
Area:1,774 square kilometres.
Region:Eastern Victoria Region
Towns:Bass, Bunyip, Cowes, Inverloch, Koo Wee Rup, Lang Lang, Nar Nar Goon, Pakenham, San Remo and Wonthaggi.
Features:Bass District features a number of tourist attractions along the coast, particularly at Phillip Island. It also includes Australia’s asparagus growing capital, Koo Wee Rup. Other industries in the electorate include dairy farming and agriculture.
