Area:17,120 square kilometres.
Region:Northern Victoria Region
Towns:Benalla, Bright, Eildon, Euroa, Mansfield, Mount Beauty, Murchison, Myrtleford, Nagambie and Violet Town.
Features:Natural features of the Benalla District include Lake Eildon, the Victorian Alps and the ski resorts of Falls Creek, Mt Buffalo, Mt Buller and Mt Hotham. Industries of the region include agriculture, tourism, timber production, wine production and fruit growing.
