Location:Benambra District is a rural electorate situated north-east of Melbourne.
Area:9,102 square kilometres.
Region:Northern Victoria Region
Towns:Beechworth, Bonegilla, Corryong, Tallangatta and Wodonga.
Features:The Benambra District features Lake Hume, the Kiewa, Mitta Mitta and Upper Murray Valleys and the Victorian Alps. The historic goldmining towns of Beechworth, Chiltern and Yackandandah are popular tourist attractions. Industries include agriculture, wine production and tourism.
