For a successful search you must enter your details exactly as they appear on the electoral roll. If you are sure you are enrolled and are having difficulty finding your record you may have entered the data incorrectly.
The search engine is not case sensitive and text may be entered in either upper, lower or mixed case.

Your family name is also your surname. In some instances there can be confusion between your family name and given names. If you think that this is likely then try reversing your family name and given names.
If you have changed your name then try any previous names you may have been enrolled with.
If you are enrolled using a single name, not a first name and surname (e.g. Madonna) enter this name in the surname field and leave the first name and middle name fields blank.
You must enter all your given names as they appear on the Electoral Roll. As you are not obliged to enrol using your full name your enrolment may or may not include any middle names you have. Even the first name field can be left blank if that is how you are registered on the roll.

If you use both an English and a non-English version of your given name, for example, if your given name is "Giuseppe" but you are commonly known as "Joseph", you could potentially be enrolled as either. Try entering either name.

The street number field can be blank if that is how it is shown on the roll.
Do not enter your flat or unit number here, nor the word Lot, Res or RMB.
Do not enter building names, farm names or station names. For example, if you live at "Mt Buffalo Chalet, Mount Buffalo" enter your address with the Suburb/Locality as "Mount Buffalo" and leave the Street Number, Street Name and Street Type blank. Similarly if you live at "HMAS Cerberus, HMAS Cerberus" enter your address with the suburb as "HMAS Cerberus" and leave the street number, street name and street type blank.
Do not enter a Post Office box number, as this must be a residential street number.
The number can be followed by a letter but do not insert a space between the number and the letter. For example, "8A" is a valid street number whereas "8 A" is not.
If your street number is expressed as a range of numbers then only enter the first number. For example, if you live at "253-255" then try first entering "253".
The street name field can be left blank if that is how it is shown on the roll.
Do not enter the street type (such as Road, Street or Way) in this field.
Your spelling must be precise so please refer to a street directory if you are unsure.
The street type field can be blank if that is how it is shown on the roll. For example, "The Strand" would be entered as a street name only.
If you do have a street type, it must be selected from the options in the drop-down.

The suburb/locality name must be the official suburb or locality name for your address. Do not enter estate names or vanity addresses.
