Features of the District

Location:Gembrook District is a mixed rural and urban fringe electorate located approximately 32 kilometres south-east of Melbourne.
Area:2,053 square kilometres.
Region:Eastern Victoria Region
Towns:Belgrave Heights, Cockatoo, Emerald, Gembrook, Hoddles Creek, Launching Place, Narre Warren East, Powelltown, Reefton and Yarra Junction.Part of Beaconsfield, Belgrave, Berwick, Harkaway, Lysterfield, Officer, Pakenham, Woori Yallock and Yellingbo.
Features:Gembrook District includes rapidly developing residential areas on the southern and western fringes, and intensive farming country in the Dandenongs and Upper Yarra Valley. Natural features include forests and mountains in the east of the District, the Yarra Ranges National Park and the Upper Yarra Dam.
