Location:	Hastings District is a mixed rural and urban fringe electorate, located approximately 42 kilometres south-east of Melbourne.
Area:	600 square kilometres.
Region:	Eastern Victoria Region
Towns:	Balnarring Beach, Baxter, Bittern, Cranbourne South, Crib Point, French Island, Hastings, Merricks Beach, Pearcedale, Somers, Stony Point, Tooradin, Tyabb and Warneet.Part of Balnarring, Clyde, Langwarren and Moorooduc.
Features:	Hastings District features include the Langwarren flora and fauna reserve, the Cranbourne Royal Botanical Gardens and the Coolart Wetlands and Homestead. Other features include the HMAS Cerberus naval base and the BHP Western Port steel works.
