Features of the District

Location:	Lara District is a mixed urban and rural electorate, which includes the western fringes of Melbourne and the northern suburbs of Geelong. It is located approximately 28 kilometres west of Melbourne.
Area:	1,005 square kilometres.
Region:	Western Victoria Region
Towns:	Anakie, Balliang, Bell Post Hill, Corio, Lara, Little River, Lovely Banks, Moorabool, Norlane and Wyndham Vale.Parts of Batesford, Bell Park, North Geelong and Werribee.
Features:	Lara District features include the You Yangs Regional Park, the Melbourne Water Western Treatment Plant, the Ford Car Plant, Geelong port facilities and the Geelong Shell oil refinery.
