Location:Melton District is an outer metropolitan electorate approximately 24 kilometres west of Melbourne.
Area:1,238 square kilometres.
Region:Western Victoria Region
Towns:Bacchus Marsh, Balliang, Balliang East, Bellevue Hill, Blackwood, Greendale, Kurunjang, Melton, Melton South, Mount Cottrell, Sydenham West, Toolern Vale and Westmelton.Parts of Diggers Rest, Plumpton, Rockbank and Truganina.
Features:Melton District includes residential areas, the Melton campus of the Victoria University of Technology, and the Werribee and Lerderderg Gorges.
