Features of the District

Location:South-West Coast District is a rural electorate located south-west of Melbourne.
Area:5,834 square kilometres.
Region:Western Victoria Region
Towns:Heywood, Koroit, Macarthur, Nelson, Port Fairy, Portland and Warrnambool.
Features:South-West Coast District includes part of the western district, one of the most fertile dairying and pastoral areas in Victoria. Industries include the manufacture of cheese, butter and other dairy products, vegetable growing, cattle and sheep farming, and tourism. The Glenelg National Park and coastal towns attract large numbers of tourists.
