Council profile
City of Greater Bendigo is divided into nine wards. There is a total of nine councillors.
This structure came into effect at the November 2004 election, as a result of an electoral representation review conducted in 2004. For more information about the review, visit the City of Greater Bendigo representation review page.

North West Plains Ward to the north and west of Bendigo includes Drummartin, Elmore, Goornong, Neilborough, Woodvale, Huntly, Marong and Lockwood. Eppalock Ward to the south and east of Bendigo includes Ravenswood, Eppalock, Lake Eppalock, Axedale, Derrinal, Heathcote and Kimbolton. An inset map of the central area shows seven wards. Eaglehawk Ward includes Eaglehawk North and Eaglehawk. Epsom Ward includes Ascot, Jackass Flat, East Bendigo and Wellsford. Strathfieldsaye Ward includes Strathfieldsaye. Kangaroo Flat Ward includes Kangaroo Flat, Big Hill and Mandurang. The central area is covered by three wards with Golden Square Ward to the west and south, Sandhurst Ward to the north and Flora Hill Ward to the east.
