Features of the District

Location:Footscray District is an inner metropolitan electorate approximately four kilometres west of Melbourne.
Area:34 square kilometres.
Region:Western Metropolitan Region
Suburbs:Braybrook, Footscray, Footscray West, Kingsville, Maidstone, Maribyrnong, Seddon and Tottenham.Parts of the suburbs of Brooklyn, Sunshine and Yarraville.
Features:Footscray District includes residential, industrial and business areas. There are extensive Commonwealth Department of Defence facilities in the north, two large shopping areas and a number of hospitals.
