Legislation now provides for electoral representation reviews of the Melbourne City Council. The electoral representation review of Melbourne City Council commenced on Monday, 24 October.
The 2011 review will consider if change is needed to the current electoral structure. The review will consider the appropriate number of the councillors for the municipality and whether the City should be divided into wards.
The review will not consider:

A public hearing will be held at 5.00pm on Wednesday, 29 February in the Council Meeting Room, Level 2, Town Hall Administration Building, 120 Swanston Street, Melbourne.
Only those who have requested to speak in support of their response submissions can do so at this hearing.
