Banyule City is divided into seven wards. In the north-west is Grimshaw Ward, which includes Bundoora and Watsonia. In the north is Bakewell Ward which includes Greensborough and Yalambie. Beale Ward in the north-east includes St Helena and Briar Hill. Olympia Ward includes Bellfield and Heidelberg West. Ibbott Ward includes Macleod and Rosanna. Hawdon Ward includes Montmorency, Lower Plenty and Viewbank. Griffin Ward includes Heidelberg, Ivanhoe and Eaglemont.
