Yarra City Council was subject to a representation review in 2011.

City of Yarra will be divided into three wards. Nicholls Ward includes Fitzroy North, Carlton North and part of Fitzroy. Langridge Ward includes Alphington, Fairfield, Clifton Hill, Abbotsford, Collingwood and part of Fitzroy. Melba Ward includes Richmond, Burnley and Cremorne.
