Away from Victoria during the election?

Voting in the State election has now closed.

Voting is not compulsory if you are interstate or overseas on election day.

If you were unable to vote because you were interstate or overseas on Saturday 24 November, please keep evidence of your travel. This includes travel itineraries, petrol receipts, etc. Should you receive an ‘Apparent Failure to Vote’ notice, in which you will be asked to explain the reasons why you didn’t vote in the State election, this will support your response.

The VEC will be sending out Apparent Failure to Vote notices in early 2019.
