Camberwell and Ashburton residents support liquor licences for Greenhart Wine Bar and Aikido Hospitality

Camberwell and Ashburton residents have voted in support of the Greenhart Wine Bar and Aikido Hospitality's applications for a General Licence.

The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) sent ballot papers to 1,758 eligible voters in Camberwell and 1,456 in Ashburton who live in the neighbourhoods surrounding the venues at 1226 Toorak Road, Camberwell or 192 High Street, Ashburton.

Residents were asked to vote 'yes' or 'no' to the resolution: 'That a General Licence be granted in the neighbourhood of the premises situated at 1226 Toorak Road, Camberwell' (for Greenhart Wine Bar) or 'That a General Licence be granted in the neighbourhood of the premises situated at 192 High Street, Ashburton' (for Aikido Hospitality).

For Greenhart Wine Bar, a total of 806 votes in favour and 336 against the resolution were polled. Three informal votes were received.

For Aikido Hospitality, a total of 806 votes in favour and 235 against the resolution were polled. Eleven informal votes were received.

An Apparent Failure to Vote Notice will be sent to people on the roll who appear not to have voted in the polls. Recipients must respond within 28 days.

The VEC conducted the liquor licensing polls on behalf of the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation.
