Voting closes soon for Northern Grampians Shire Council by-election

Voters in St Arnaud and surrounds are reminded they have until 6 pm Friday 19 February to vote in the Northern Grampians Shire Council, Kara Kara Ward by-election.

Completed ballot material must be posted before final local mail clearance times in this final week of voting. Voters should check their local mail clearance time, which may be earlier than 6 pm or earlier in the week. Alternatively, it can be hand-delivered by the 6 pm deadline to the election office located at Media Centre, Grandstand 1, Central Park, 14-28 Main Street, Stawell.

Voters who still haven't received their ballot pack should call the election office immediately on 1300 128 940 to arrange an alternative. Extended hours apply from 9 am to 8 pm on Thursday 18 February and 9 am to 6 pm on Friday 19 February.

Voting is compulsory for voters who were on the State roll for this by-election at 4 pm Friday 18 December 2020 – State-enrolled voters who don't vote may be fined. Council-enrolled voters are encouraged to vote but will not be fined if they do not vote.
