We need your voice! Be part of the in-language video project

Headshots of 8 people smiling at the camera. They are a variety of genders, ages, and ethnic backgrounds.

For the November State election, we will be creating video resources in 23 languages to teach voters from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds:

  • how to enrol and update details
  • how to complete ballot papers correctly
  • how to respond to an Apparent Failure to Vote Notice.

The videos will be created by our Democracy Ambassadors and VEC staff.

From late September 2022–March 2023, videos will be posted on our website and social media platforms. We would appreciate it if you could share these videos with your community and networks.

You can also be part of the in-language video project. We are also looking for native language speakers in:

  • Chaldean Neo-Aramaic
  • Chin Haka
  • Khmer
  • Somali
  • Swahili.

To participate, you must be politically impartial. This means not a member of a political party or involved in any political cause.

Come and gain some experience, help your community and get paid your time.
