2018 State election
The Victorian State election is on Saturday 24 November 2018
All Australian citizens 18 and over must enrol and vote.
Voting is compulsory for everyone on the roll as at 8.00 pm on Tuesday 6 November. If you fail to vote and do not have a valid reason, you may receive a fine.
Vote by post
Applications for postal votes close 6.00 pm Wednesday 21 November.
Vote on election day
You can vote at any voting centre in Victoria on election day. Voting outside your District may take longer.

The roll for the 24 November State election has now closed.
Missed the deadline?
If you missed the deadline to be included on the State election roll, you can go to a voting centre to enrol and vote on the spot.
Make sure you bring one of the following:
- driver licence or learner permit
- Australian passport
- council rates notice in your name
- electricity bill in your name for your current home address
- your Citizenship number if you have it.
If you changed address but didn’t update your details before the roll closed, you should still update your details, but you must vote for the address at which you appear on the electoral roll.
