Application to change the name and abbreviation of the Shooters and Fishers Party Victoria

The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) has received an application to change the name and abbreviation of a registered political party in accordance with the Electoral Act 2002 (the Act).

Name of party: Shooters and Fishers Party Victoria

Current abbreviation: SFP Vic

Proposed name: Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party Victoria

Proposed abbreviation: Shooters, Fishers & Farmers VIC

The application is signed by the Secretary of the party.

Objections to the proposed change must be submitted to the VEC in writing by no later than the end of the day on Monday 11 July 2016.

Written objections should consider whether the proposed name or abbreviation are allowable under section 47 of the Act.

Objections can be emailed or posted to the Victorian Electoral Commission, Level 11, 530 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000.
