Last chance to enrol for Mount Alexander Shire Council Tarrengower Ward by-election
Voters in Tarrengower Ward within Mount Alexander Shire are reminded they have until 4.00 pm today to be correctly enrolled for the by-election to be held in February.
Australian citizens who have recently turned 18 years of age or changed their address should complete an enrolment form online at enrolment.vec.vic.gov.au by the close of roll.
Enrolment forms are also available at any Australia Post or Australian Electoral Commission office. Paper enrolment forms must be received by the Victorian Electoral Commission by 4.00 pm Friday 15 December.

Two groups of people are automatically enrolled for the Tarrengower Ward by-election:
- anyone on the State electoral roll with an address within Tarrengower Ward
- property owners who don’t live in Mount Alexander Shire.
There are additional enrolment categories for occupiers, company nominees and non-Australian citizens who live or pay rates for an address in Tarrengower Ward within Mount Alexander Shire. For further details, voters can contact Mount Alexander Shire Council on (03) 5471 1700.
Nominations for the by-election will open on Thursday 11 January and close on Tuesday 16 January 2018. Detailed information about nominating as a candidate is available online at vec.vic.gov.au, and a candidate information session will be held on Monday 8 January at the Mount Alexander Civic Centre in Castlemaine.
