Call for candidates for Whittlesea City Council by-election

Candidate nominations for the Whittlesea City Council, Thomastown Ward by-election open on Monday 13 April.

'If you want to represent your local community, I encourage you to nominate,' Election Manager Maureen Gee said. 'You'll need to lodge your nomination in person during the nomination period.'

Prospective candidates must make an appointment to submit their nomination form and pay the $250 fee in person during business hours.

'You can call 03 9678 1096 from Monday 13 April to make a nomination appointment,' Ms Gee added. 'You can also start your nomination online using the Candidate Helper tool at candidatehelper.vec.vic.gov.au to save time.'

The election office will be open on weekdays from Monday 13 April to Friday 29 May at:

  • 109 Yale Drive, Epping

Nominations close at 12 noon on Tuesday 21 April. Late nominations will not be accepted.
