In a State election, you vote for the people who represent you in the Victorian Parliament. State elections are held on the last Saturday in November every four years.
Local council elections
In a local council election, you vote for the people who represent you in your local area. Local council elections are held in October every four years.
State by-elections and appointments
If a State member of Parliament resigns or cannot complete their term, the process to fill their vacancy differs between Upper or Lower House.
Liquor licensing polls and other elections
We are required to hold liquor licensing polls in some areas, and other elections. We can also conduct other and polls on a fee-for-service basis.
