Change of registered political party’s abbreviation – Family First Victoria

The registered political party Family First Victoria today officially registered the abbreviation Family First.

The party applied to register the abbreviation 'Family First' on 11 November 2025.

As required by section 49 of the Electoral Act 2002 (the Act), the Victorian Electoral Commission advertised the application and invited objections. No objections were received during the objection period.

Certain abbreviations are not acceptable under the Act, including an abbreviation that is not a proper abbreviation of the political party.

The abbreviation Family First is acceptable under the Act and can be printed next to the party's endorsed candidates' names on ballot papers at any election contested by the party under the Act.
