Eight candidates nominate for Nepean District by-election

A total of 8 candidates have nominated in the Nepean District by-election.
The candidates, in ballot paper order, are:
- HERCUS, Darren - Pauline Hanson's One Nation
- SMITH, Reade - Affordable Housing Now - Sustainable Australia Party
- HEALY, Sianan - The Greens
- MARSH, Anthony - Liberal
- WILDE, Milton - End Mass Immigration - Reform AU
- ANGELICO, Peter - Libertarian
- HUTCHISON, Tracee
- THOMPSON, Renee - Legalise Cannabis
Voting is compulsory for all voters who were on the roll in Nepean District when the rolls closed at 8 pm on Friday 20 March.
Early voting is open from Wednesday 22 April until Friday 1 May. Anyone can vote early - you don't need a special reason.
Opening hours:
- 9 am to 8 pm weekdays
- Anzac Day, Saturday 25 April - 1 pm to 8 pm
- 9 am to 6 pm Friday 1 May
- 8 am to 6 pm Saturday 2 May (election day).

Early voting centres are located at:
- Rosebud Sea Scouts Hall, Rosebud Foreshore, Rosebud 3939
- Dromana Hub Shopping Centre, Shop 1/251 Point Nepean Road, Dromana 3936
- Blairgowrie Community Hall, 12 William Road, Blairgowrie 3942
Low-sensory mobile voting centre will be operating on April 21 between 10 am and 4 pm to support people who are neurodiverse and their support people. The location will be published on our website shortly vec.vic.gov.au/voting/current-elections/nepean-by-election/low-sensory-voting.
Postal voting is also available, and voters can apply online or can use a paper application form. Postal vote applications close at 6 pm on Wednesday 29 April. Completed ballot papers must be in the mail or hand-delivered to a voting centre in Nepean District before 6 pm on election day, Saturday 2 May.
