New councillor for Glenelg Shire Council countback

Mary Picard has been elected as a councillor for Glenelg Shire Council, after the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) conducted a countback of votes from the October 2024 general election.

Election manager Anju Mehta declared the result at 4:30 pm on Monday 1 June.

The countback included unsuccessful candidates who were still eligible for election.

The vacancy on Glenelg Shire Council occurred after the resignation of Councillor Mike Noske.
