Candidate Statement
You deserve a councillor who stands up when it counts, with the skills, common sense, and strength to get results even against the odds. That’s what I’m hearing from our community and that’s why I’m running for Council. I have a vision to build the infrastructure our community needs to support population growth, the $600 million Bandiana military expansion, and our industry and employment growth. I’m a trade qualified carpenter and have a degree in Town and Regional Planning. My career spans senior management in business and local government, with specialised experience in economic development, industry and employment attraction. My priorities reflect yours and I have the skills to deliver results. I’m committed to keeping rates lower and efficiently managing ratepayers’ money. We need a new Hospital, better roads, transport, and a more vibrant Wodonga. I know and love our area. My parents moved our family into Lake Hume Ward over 45 years ago. I raised my family in Huons Hill Road. I’ve coached junior football, been on School Council, President of Wodonga Brass Band, and Wodonga Mayor 2022-2024. Vote 1 Ron Mildren for lower rates and experienced leadership. A strong independent voice, I will represent your interests. More ronmildren.com

Candidate Statement
I have proudly called Wodonga home for more than thirty years, settling here after a twenty-five-year career in the Australian Army that included operational service overseas. Since then, I have continued to serve our region in senior executive and Chief Executive roles with organizations such as Lifeline Albury Wodonga, British Aerospace Australia, Mungabareena Aboriginal Corporation, AWARE Industries, the Wodonga Sports and Leisure Centre and Consec Security. Community is at the heart of everything I do. For thirty years, I have been an active member of Rotary, serving as President, Secretary and Director of Community Service. I bring strong experience in governance, having served for ten years on the Board of Albury Wodonga Health, including as Chairperson. I have led as Chair of Kirinari Community Services, the Festival of Sport and the North East Region Sports Assembly. I spent ten years on the Board of the Wodonga Raiders Football Club, including a premiership season. Wodonga deserves strong, experienced and community-minded leadership. I understand the importance of working together and would welcome the opportunity to help guide our city forward. If elected, I will bring strategic planning skills, sound governance experience and a clear commitment to building a stronger future for Wodonga.

Candidate Statement
I am standing for election to the Lake Hume Ward of Wodonga Council because I believe strong, connected and inclusive communities are built when people feel listened to, represented and considered. I am passionate about ensuring the voices of residents and businesses are heard in decisions that shape our future. I have over 15 years of experience in small business ownership and community advocacy. I cocreated the Engage Wodonga community page, which has become a trusted space for respectful discussions. I played an active role in the Junction Place campaign and served on the Junction Place Community Reference Group, ensuring community views are heard during the redevelopment of our city centre. These experiences reflect my commitment to Wodonga and amplifying community voices. If elected, I will remain accessible, transparent and accountable. My priorities include advocating for a new hospital on a new site, improving accessible and reliable public transport, supporting smart forward planning for Wodonga’s growth, strengthening community engagement in Council decisions, and ensuring our outlying suburbs are not forgotten when planning public amenities. People can expect me to listen, ask questions, and work constructively with fellow councillors to achieve outcomes that benefit our community. I welcome calls on 0477857444.
