Call for candidates for Greater Bendigo City Council by-election 

Candidate nominations for the Greater Bendigo City Council, Lockwood Ward by-election open on Monday 9 February. 

‘If you want to represent your local community, I encourage you to nominate,’ Election Manager Mandy Cooper said. ‘You’ll need to lodge your nomination in person during the nomination period.’ 

Prospective candidates must make an appointment to submit their nomination form and pay the $250 fee in person during business hours.  

‘You can call 131 832 from Monday 9 February to make a nomination appointment,’ Ms Cooper added. ‘You can also start your nomination online using the Candidate Helper tool at candidatehelper.vec.vic.gov.au to save time.’ 

The election office will be open on weekdays from Monday 9 February to Friday 27 March at:  

62-64 Hattam Street, Golden Gully.  

Nominations close at 12 noon on Tuesday 17 February. Late nominations will not be accepted.
