Candidates announced for Banyule City Council postal by-election

Eight candidates have nominated in the Banyule City Council, Beale Ward postal by‑election.

The candidates, in ballot paper order, are:

HILL, Kevan
TAYLOR, Fleur
LANDERS, Kate
ROOKS, Nicola
BARRA, Renato
PHILLIPS, Wayne
FARRELL, Logan
SANDARS, Lauren

Candidate statements and information will be available at vec.vic.gov.au later this week.

The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) will send ballot packs to all voters who were correctly enrolled for Beale Ward by the close of roll. Voting closes at 6 pm on Friday 2 October.

Election Manager Maureen Gee advised voters to vote as soon as possible.

‘Post or hand deliver your completed ballot pack by the deadline to make your vote count,’ Ms Gee said.

‘Voting closes at 6 pm on Friday 2 October, but our advice is to not leave it to the last minute.’
