Candidates announced for Greater Bendigo City Council postal by-election

Six candidates have nominated in the Greater Bendigo City Council, Lockwood Ward postal by‑election.

The candidates, in ballot paper order, are:

LOCKWOOD, Grant
MISHRA, Ajay
MARTINEK, MaryAnn
THORPE, David
EDGAR, Emily
HOLIAN, Robert Phillip

Candidate statements and information will be available at vec.vic.gov.au later this week.

The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) will send ballot packs to all voters who were correctly enrolled for Lockwood Ward by the close of roll. Voting closes at 6 pm on Friday 2 October.

Election Manager Angela Ang advised voters to vote as soon as possible.

‘Post or hand deliver your completed ballot pack by the deadline to make your vote count,’ Ms Ang said.

‘Voting closes at 6 pm on Friday 2 October, but our advice is to not leave it to the last minute.’
