Candidates announced for Mornington Peninsula Shire postal by-election

Two candidates have nominated in the Mornington Peninsula Shire, Briars Ward postal by‑election. 

The candidates, in ballot paper order, are:

• ELLISON-WHYTE, Sue
• LEAHY, Christine 

Candidate statements and information will be available at vec.vic.gov.au later this week. 

The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) will send ballot packs to all voters who were correctly enrolled for Briars Ward by the close of roll. Voting closes at 6 pm on Friday 2 October. 

Election Manager Robyn Farmer advised voters to vote as soon as possible. 

‘Post or hand deliver your completed ballot pack by the deadline to make your vote count,’ Ms Farmer said. 

‘Voting closes at 6 pm on Friday 2 October, but our advice is to not leave it to the last minute.’
