New councillor for Banyule City Council

Nicola Rooks is the new representative on Banyule City Council, after a by-election was held to fill an extraordinary vacancy.

Nicola Rooks was among 7 candidates standing for the by-election and will represent Beale Ward on Banyule City Council until the next local council elections in October 2028.

Election Manager Maureen Gee declared the result at 3.30 pm on Thursday 15 October at the Hawdon and Olympia Rooms, Banyule City Council, Level 4, 1 Flintoff Street, Greensborough.

The extraordinary vacancy happened due to the resignation of Councillor Elizabeth Nealy.
