New councillor for Mornington Peninsula Shire

Christine Leahy is the new representative on Mornington Peninsula Shire, after a by-election was held to fill an extraordinary vacancy.

Christine Leahy was among 2 candidates standing for the by-election and will represent Briars Ward on Mornington Peninsula Shire until the next local council elections in October 2028.

Election Manager Robyn Farmer declared the result at 10.30 am on Wednesday 14 October at Mornington Peninsula Shire Council Chamber, Rosebud Office, 90 Besgrove Street, Rosebud.

The extraordinary vacancy happened due to the resignation of Councillor Anthony Marsh.
