Voting closes soon for Greater Bendigo City Council by-election

The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) is reminding voters in Lockwood Ward in Greater Bendigo City Council that they have until 6 pm Friday 2 October to vote in the by-election.

'You need to post your completed ballot pack before 6 pm on Friday 2 October to make sure it is counted,' Election Manager Angela Ang said.

'You can also drop your ballot pack off at the election office located at 36 Torrens Street, Marong before 6 pm on Friday 2 October.'

Any voter who still hasn’t received their ballot pack should call the VEC immediately on 131 832. The office will be open on Thursday 1 October until 8 pm and on Friday 2 October until 6 pm.

Voting is compulsory for all voters who were on the roll for this election at 4 pm on Wednesday 22 July. Voters who do not vote may be fined.
