Voting closes soon for Mornington Peninsula Shire by-election

The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) is reminding voters in Briars Ward in Mornington Peninsula Shire that they have until 6 pm Friday 2 October to vote in the by-election.

'You need to post your completed ballot pack before 6 pm on Friday 2 October to make sure it is counted,' Election Manager Robyn Farmer said.

'You can also drop your ballot pack off at the election office located at 1/16 Dutton Street, Rosebud before 6 pm on Friday 2 October.'

Any voter who still hasn’t received their ballot pack should call the VEC immediately on 131 832. The office will be open on Thursday 1 October until 8 pm and on Friday 2 October until 6 pm.

Voting is compulsory for all voters who were on the roll for this election at 4 pm on Wednesday 22 July. Voters who do not vote may be fined.
