Voting closes soon for Kingston City Council by-election

The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) is reminding voters in Melaleuca Ward in Kingston City Council that they have until 6 pm Friday 31 July to vote in the by-election.

'You need to post your completed ballot pack before 6 pm on Friday 31 July to make sure it is counted.' Election Manager Rod Van Cooten said.

'You can also drop your ballot pack off at the election office located at 1230 Nepean Hwy, Cheltenham before 6 pm on Friday 31 July.'

Any voter who still hasn’t received their ballot pack should call the VEC immediately on 131 832. The office will be open on Thursday 30 July until 8 pm and on Friday 31 July until 6 pm.

Voting is compulsory for all voters who were on the roll for this election at 4 pm on Wednesday 20 May. Voters who don’t vote may be fined.
