Voting centres open across Victoria on election day, Saturday 28 November 2026. These roles work on election day only. Most roles run for the full day and finish after 10pm once counting is complete. Some roles, such as Pack Up Officer and Counting Support Officer, are evening only. We provide full training before you start.

Voting Centre Manager

This role leads a small team and manages the operations of a voting centre on election day to ensure voting runs smoothly, is accessible, and meets all electoral requirements.

Assistant Voting Centre Manager

This role supports the Voting Centre Manager to ensure the voting centre runs efficiently, is accessible for all voters and meets election requirements.

Declaration Issuing Officer

This role assists voters who need declaration or absent votes and ensures these votes are issued and recorded correctly.

Pack Up Officer

This role is responsible for managing the pack-up of all materials at the conclusion of voting and transporting these to the designated location for return.

Count Support Officer

This role supports the accurate and timely counting of ballot papers at selected voting centres. Count Support Officers assist the Voting Centre Manager by following election procedures, applying correct counting methods and helping ensure the integrity of the count.
