Voting closes soon for Greater Bendigo City Council by-election

The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) is reminding voters in Lockwood Ward in Greater Bendigo City Council that they have until 6 pm Friday 27 March to vote in the postal by-election.

‘You need to post your completed ballot pack before 6 pm on Friday 27 March, noting clearance times may vary,’ Election Manager Mandy Cooper said.

‘You can also drop your ballot pack off at the election office located at 62-64 Hattam Street, Golden Gully before 6 pm on Friday 27 March.’

Any voter who still hasn’t received their ballot pack should call the election office immediately on (03) 8619 1901. The office will be open until 8 pm on Thursday 26 March and 6 pm on Friday 27 March.

Voting is compulsory for all voters who were on the roll for this election at 4 pm on Wednesday 14 January. Voters who don’t vote may be fined.
