Location:Bass District is a rural and outer metropolitan electorate located south-east of Melbourne.
Area:1,383 square kilometres.
Towns:Bass, Cape Patterson, Corinella, Cowes, Grantville, Inverloch, Kilcunda, Koo Wee Rup, Lang Lang, Rhyll, San Remo, Ventnor, Wonthaggi. Part of Pakenham.
Features:The District features a number of tourist attractions along the coast, particularly at Phillip Island. It also includes Australia’s asparagus growing capital, Koo Wee Rup. Other industries in the electorate include dairy farming and agriculture.
