New councillor for Benalla Rural City Council

Vincent Michael Branigan has been elected as a councillor for Benalla Rural City Council after the Victorian Electoral Commission conducted a countback of votes from the October 2024 general election.

The election manager, Anju Mehta, declared the result at 4 pm on Thursday 4 December.

The countback included unsuccessful candidates who were still eligible for election.

The vacancy occurred after the resignation of Councillor Nathan Tolliday.
