Michael Labrador is the new representative on Whittlesea City Council, after a by-election was held to fill an extraordinary vacancy.

Michael Labrador was among 11 candidates standing for the by-election and will represent Lalor Ward on Whittlesea City Council until the next council general election in October 2028.

Election Manager Ken Seiler declared the result at 10 am today at the Great Hall, Civic Centre, 25 Ferres Boulevard, South Morang.

The extraordinary vacancy happened following the voiding of the 2024 local council election result by the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).
