2018 State election candidate handbooks
Candidate handbooks specific to the 2018 Victorian State election are available.
The Candidate Handbooks explain the requirements and responsibilities of nominating as a candidate at a State election.
The following handbooks are available for prospective candidates in the 2018 Victorian State election.

Nominations open Wednesday 31 October and close 12 noon Thursday 8 November for Registered Political Parties and 12 noon Friday 9 November for independent candidates.
The Candidate Helper portal will be available in late October to assist parties and candidates to complete their candidate nominations.
The scrutineer’s role is to observe the issuing of ballot papers and the counting of votes on behalf of a candidate.
People who intend to become scrutineers are strongly encouraged to read the Scrutineer handbook to make sure they understand their role and responsibilities.
