An electoral representation advisory panel is conducting a review of Port Phillip City Council's electoral structure.
What is an electoral structure review?
Under the Local Government Act 2020 this council must adopt a single-councillor ward structure.
To achieve this structure, the panel will consider:
- the appropriate number of councillors and wards for the council
- the location of ward boundaries
- the name of each ward.
Have your say
Submissions closed on Wednesday 9 August.
The panel is now preparing a final recommendation for the Minister for Local Government that will take in the requirements of the law, population data and your opinions.
A final report detailing the recommendation will be submitted to the minister on Wednesday 27 September.
