Voting closes soon for Wodonga City Council postal by-election

The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) is reminding voters in Lake Hume Ward in Wodonga City Council that they have until 6 pm on Friday 3 October to vote in the postal by-election. 

‘You need to post your completed ballot pack before 6 pm on Friday 3 October, noting local clearance times may vary,’ Election Manager Harold Cover said.  

‘You can also drop your ballot pack off at the election office located at Unit 1/1 Birallee Place, West Wodonga before 6 pm on Friday 3 October.’  

Any voter who still hasn’t received their ballot pack should call the election office immediately on 131 832. The office will be open until 8 pm on Thursday 2 October and 6 pm on Friday 3 October. 

Voting is compulsory for all voters who were on the roll for this election at 4 pm on Wednesday 23 July. Voters who don’t vote may be fined.
