State district profiles

There are 88 electoral districts in Victoria.

One Member of Parliament (MP) represents each district in the Victorian Parliament's Legislative Assembly (Lower House).

In simple terms, it is the party that wins the majority of districts that forms government.

There are approximately 40,000 electors (people eligible to vote) in each district.
